4. Ticket Refund & Cancellation Policy
Applies to: All ticket purchases for events organized or managed through Event Troop (UK) via Stripe payments.
By purchasing a ticket, you confirm your acceptance of this Refund & Cancellation Policy, as well as any event-specific terms displayed during the booking process.

Tickets may be transferred to another individual up to 72 hours before the event, at no extra charge.
Please notify us in writing at support@eventtroop.co.uk, providing:
Your order number
Original attendee name
New attendee’s full name and contact information
Event canceled by organizer → Full ticket refund (100%) issued to the original payment method within 14 business days.
If the attendee cannot attend the new date, a full refund will be issued upon request via the Refund Request Form, within 7 days of the announcement.
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method via Stripe.
Stripe processing fees are non-refundable, as per Stripe’s standard terms.
If you fail to attend the event without prior cancellation (according to the above timelines), no refund or credit will be issued.
This return policy complies with UK consumer rights, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which normally provide a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases. However, under Regulation 28(1)(h), tickets for leisure activities such as events with a specific date are exempt from this right. This means that customers do not have an automatic right to cancel and obtain a refund once a ticket is purchased.
As a result of this exemption, Event Troop has the legal discretion to set its own refund structure, including the use of administrative fees or cancellation charges, provided these terms are clearly communicated at the time of booking. The refund percentages and fees outlined in section 4.2 represent Event Troop’s own refund policy, which attendees accept at the point of purchase.

5. Terms of Service (Ticket Use)
By purchasing tickets, you agree to the following terms:
Tickets are valid only for the designated event, date, and venue, and entry may be subject to ID checks.
Resale or transfer of tickets is prohibited unless approved by the organiser.
Booking fees (if any) are non-refundable, unless Stripe or your bank reverses the transaction, or the event is cancelled by the organiser.
We reserve the right to refuse admission for safety or behavioural reasons, at our discretion.
